Description
Grass-like clumps of triangular, green stems bearing clusters of thin, bright green, thread like rays with greenish-brown flower clusters at the ends. Mainly an aquatic plant, but will do well in most situations providing the roots are kept damp. Flowers: June to October. Height: 210cm/84in Plant Class: Hardy Perennial (HP). Habit: Bushy.
Sow indoors in winter or spring. The seeds are very small, you may mix with a little perlite, vermiculite, sand to aid sowing if desired. Surface sow onto moist seed compost. Just cover with a light sprinkling of soil. Darkness may aid germination, cover the seed, and keep moist. Ideal temperature 21°C. Germination takes 2-4 weeks approx. Transplant a clump of seedlings at a time, approx. 8 weeks from germination.
