Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transfer them into 9cm (3½in) pots of multipurpose compost, maintaining minimum night temperatures of 15°C (60°F). Seeds can also be germinated in the airing cupboard – put the pot in a polythene bag, check daily, and remove the pot as soon as germination takes place.
