Old heirloom vegetable-producing pods that are similar in appearance and taste to winged beans so make a good substitute for cooler climates. Pods are eaten raw or cooked. Beautiful red flowers preceded small fluted pods which taste similar to asparagus. Seed can be roasted and used like coffee. Nitrogen-fixing. 60-80 days.
