The echinacea plant (echinacea, echinacea) is today one of the most popular plants for strengthening immunity, preventing and alleviating colds, flu and similar diseases. Echinacea is otherwise a “miracle medicine” of the North American Indians.
It is used in the form of tea, tincture, gel, tablets. Since then, it is most often used as a natural means to strengthen immunity, has an anti-inflammatory effect and suppresses the further spread of bacteria. That is why it is recommended during the winter as a good prevention against the flu. If echinacea is used in combination with vitamin C, scientific studies show that it reduces the possibility of colds by as much as 85%. In addition, this plant is a useful medicine for many skin diseases such as acne, and also against insect bites. It is also interesting to say that the echinacea plant stimulates the production of white blood cells, so it can help people suffering from leukopenia (reduced number of white blood cells) after chemotherapy. It is also useful for the treatment of chronic infections and inflammation (especially long-term inflammation of the bladder and airways). As immunity is stronger, it is recommended for sick people who are prone to frequent colds.
