Caper is a perennial small shrubby plant that originates from the Mediterranean. It grows very fast, it thrives on any type of soil, the only thing it requires is to have constant soil moisture during the spring and to be watered minimally during the summer to encourage flowering. The diet uses an aromatic unopened flower bud that needs to be salted or pickled to get the right taste. During the winter, it is stored in a cool room, tolerates – 6C. Cultivation from seeds is easy.
Soak seeds in water for about 24 hours, then plant about 2-5mm deep and keep moist and warm for about 3-5 weeks.
