An annual, multi-purpose plant, growing up to 180 cm, is also known as `French Spinach`- belongs to one of the oldest species. The leaves are used for food, which can be used fresh as a salad or prepared like spinach, but it takes much less time to prepare. Flowers can be used for arrangements.
Seeds are sown directly in the garden after the danger of frost has passed or during the summer, they can also be sown in containers. It grows very quickly and the leaves are used for nutrition after only a few weeks of germination.
