Description
Chervil is a popular herb, similar to Parsely. Plants have feathery evergreen leaves and small white flowers in summer, growing to a height of 30–60cm. The leaves can be cut at any time of year and have a mild aniseed flavor. This herb is best used fresh and can be frozen. Chervil is a cool climate plant, can grow well in deeper containers.
Sowing: Chervil seeds are best established directly outdoors when the weather is warm and all danger of frost has passed. Begin by clearing your sowing area of all unwanted plant life, including weeds. Next, scatter a few seeds into the prepared area, covering thinly with 1/16″ of topsoil. It is very important that light can reach the seeds, in order for germination to successfully occur.
