Purple Fern Leaf Acacia, Bailey`s Purple Acacia
A fast-growing shrub or smaller evergreen tree in natural reaches 2-4 m, while in colder zones it is stored as a potted plant or for the formation of bonsai. It blooms in late winter to late spring. The flower is golden while the leaf is purple – this is an expensive and rare cultivar.
Propagation: By seeds / cuttings
Pre-treatment: Pour hot water over the seeds and leave them for 24 hours (the seeds should be slightly cut – it is easiest with a nick), if they do not swell, then leave them in water for 5-7 days and pour hot water over them every day.
Sowing: All year round in substrate or perlite at a depth of 1-2 cm
Germination: Temperature 25-30 C, germinate in 1-4 months
Location: Requires direct light and moderate humidity.
