Description
Lycium barbarum is a deciduous woody perennial plant, growing up to 3 m high. As a food, dried wolfberries are traditionally cooked before consumption. This perennial bush plant is extremely productive, producing huge crops of delicious fruits full of antioxidants. The plants need little attention, being most productive when under stress
Sow seeds at any time and cover with 5mm of compost or grit. Place on a warm window sill or in a propagator in a bright place. Germination is usually around 10-30 days at 20-25 C, but is much slower and can take several weeks at lower temperatures as these are perennial plants. Pot on into 3-inch pots then plant out in spring into a sheltered position.
