An evergreen, shrub species. It reaches 1-2.5 m in height. Fruits that are rich in vitamins and minerals are used. The fruit is used fresh or for the production of brandy, liqueurs, jams, juices, etc. Easy to grow.


Propagation: By seeds / cuttings / grafting

Stratification: 90 days in a moist substrate (sand, perlite) at a temperature of 2-5 C in the refrigerator

Pre-treatment: Soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours.

Sowing: All year round, in purchased soil or a mixture of substrate and perlite or sand, at a depth of about 1 cm.

Germination: Temperature min 15 – 18°C

Location: Requires light and moderate humidity.

Care: After 1st year transplant outside. Not picky about soil.

Resistance zone: 4a / -34.4 C
