A Mexican native wildflower, penstemon is an easy to establish Perennial variety. Growing approximately 28 inches tall, its striking bronze-green foliage really sets off the tall spikes of tubular blooms, the flowers have mostly white throats, and there is a great color range. First-year flowering perennial and you will be rewarded with blooms all summer long when kept dead-headed.

Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, spring-early summer, late summer, and early autumn. Sow in trays or pots.Barely cover the seed with soil. Keep evenly moist. Germination should take 14-21 days at 18-20 °C. Prick out into 9cm pots after 5 weeks, grow on at 14-18°C
