Deciduous Shrub growing to 3 m (9ft) by 3 m (9ft, Zone 6b . They are among the most spectacular and easily grown plants for use in the border. Flowers are double and are 4 to 6 inches in diameter; they open white or pink, and change to deep red by evening.Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and prefers well-drained soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It cannot grow in the shade. It prefers moist soil.
