Description
Rock Cress
Aubrieta is an evergreen popular garden plant smothered by flowers for several months. This variety has flowers in various shades of blue with supreme flowering ability. These ground cover plants should be trimmed lightly immediately after blooming, to encourage a thick mounding habit. This plant is an excellent choice for a rock garden in sun or partial shade, growing over rock walls, alpine troughs, containers, or in mass plantings for a flowering ground cover.

Sowing: Aubrieta ground cover seed indoors 6 – 8 weeks before the last frost. Use starter trays, press the seeds into the soil, and thinly cover – these seeds need light to germinate. Transplant into the garden 12 inches apart after frost danger has passed. Aubretia seeds can be directly sown into a prepared seedbed outdoors after the last frost.
