Spotted Beebalm
The native biennial plant has a distinctive oregano-like scent, grows to a mature height of about 12 to 36 inches tall, and needs little attention once established. Commercially, it is has been used because it has more beneficial aromatic thymol than other members of the mint family.
Sowing Indoors in Late winter to late spring: Surface sow – just cover the seed, make sure the compost is kept moist but not wet. Transplant when all danger of frost is passed. Germination takes 10 to 30 days.
