Godetia grandiflora

Description

A fine mix of annual godetia varieties that grow 30 to 40 centimeter-in in height, they feature beautiful multi-colored flowers that are highly valued for their ornamental value. Its flowering period lasts throughout the summer. Godetia is predominantly grown in flower beds, and pots and is highly recommended as a cut flower.

Sow in the autumn under glass or sow directly in spring. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost. Cover with a fine layer of vermiculite. Keep moist but not wet. Ideal temp. 15-18°C during the day dropping to 10°C at night. Germination takes 22-38 days. When seedlings have 7-8 true leaves thin to 30cm spacing. Prefers light, well-drained soil in full sun. Water well until established. Once established thrives on very little water. Requires little attention.
