Description
Drumsticks
Perennial native to New Zealand but this unique plant is more often grown as a hardy annual. Craspedia has grass-like, silvery-green foliage and blooms with bright-yellow, globe-shaped clusters of tiny, cup-shaped flowers on a top of stiff, wiry stems. Easy to grow from seeds, and the fast-growing, drought-tolerant plant makes a superb flower for rock gardens, cutting gardens, and borders. Best grown in full sun and gritty, well-drained garden soil tolerating a wide range of soil types, including sands, gravels, clays, and loams. Craspedia Drumsticks is a fantastic fresh or dried cut flower.
