Ammobium alatum

Description

Perennial from Australia. Ammobium is commonly called Winged Everlasting, perennial in warmer regions or annual in cooler.  Ammobium blooms from spring until early fall. Alatum Grandiflorum thrives in sandy, well-drained soil and likes to grow in full sun. Perfect for cutting, drying, and use as an everlasting that is long-lasting and looks beautiful for years.

Sow indoors Feb-Apr. Sow 2mm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Ideal temp. 15°C. Germination takes 10-15 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to 8cm pots and grow on. Acclimatize and plant out once the danger of frost has passed.
