Description
Capsicum annuum
Lots of fruits with just enough bite to heat and spice up stews, salads, and stir-fries. Great for drying, processing, or sauces. Use fresh or easily dried for winter use. Harvest starts about 70 days after plants are set out.
Best crops will be achieved in a greenhouse, but smaller, later crops can be produced when grown in a sunny sheltered location outdoors, ideal for growing in pots.
Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. Peppers germinate best in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors until the soil is warm.
