Description: Artichokes are considered a real delicacy, and they are dietary and rich in vitamins and minerals. The artichoke flower has been served on the tables as a real delicacy for more than 2000 years, which is why it rightly bears the title of the noblest vegetable. Artichoke has a low energy value (40 to 50 calories) and almost negligible amounts of fat and protein but is therefore very rich in minerals (manganese, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, sulfur, and magnesium), and vitamins (provitamin A, vitamins B and C). It is a plant up to two meters high, and its flower head grows 8 to 15 centimeters. Artichokes are not eaten raw but should be cooked in salted water for about 30 minutes. They are cooked when the leaves are easily separated from the fruit. It regulates blood cholesterol, stimulates fat burning, improves digestion and relieves the liver, which is responsible for purifying the blood.
– Stimulates kidney function, suppresses intestinal infections, and reduces the amount of urea in the blood. It is also useful for diabetics because it is low in sugar.
