Description

These lovely little ground cover plants are a real joy to have in the garden. Growing to a maximum of around 6″ (15 cm) tall they have a compact but spreading habit. In May / June time they are covered with pretty pinky-white bell flowers which develop into bright red berries that are about the size of a pea. The berries usually ripen in two flushes – late July and late September – and are perfect for Cranberry jelly, sauces, preserves and, of course, drinks. Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
